1. Sponsor
The contest is run and the prize is paid by Supercanic LLC, 1685 S State St, Suite D, San Jacinto, CA 92583, which operates Wedwalk at wedwalk.com (the "Sponsor").
2. Who Can Enter
Legal residents of the United States who are 18 or older when they enter. The wedding must have taken place in the United States. Either member of the couple may enter, or the wedding's photographer may enter with the couple's permission. Employees of Supercanic LLC, the judges, and their immediate families and households cannot enter or win. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
3. Entry Period
Entries open October 31, 2026 and must be received by 11:59 pm Eastern Time on February 28, 2027. Entries that arrive later are not judged. Each wedding can be entered once; if the same wedding is entered more than once, we combine the entries.
4. How to Enter
Fill out the form at wedwalk.com/wedding-of-the-year with the couple's names, wedding date, city and state, venue, your story, your vendors, and your photos and video (uploaded files, gallery links, or both). Name the photographer so we can credit them. You must check the media release box and sign it by typing your full name and the date. Entries without a signed release are not judged.
5. Your Rights and the Release
You must own, or have permission to use, everything you send, and you must have permission from the people shown. By entering you grant Supercanic LLC the license in the media release on the entry form: a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, edit and publish your photos, video and story on wedwalk.com, social media and Wedwalk marketing, with credit to the photographer you named. You keep ownership of your work. We store the release text you agreed to, your typed name, the time and your IP address with your entry.
6. Review and Public Voting
We check every entry by hand before it is shown. Only approved entries appear on the voting page. Anyone may vote once per day, using a real email address. Votes made with fake or throwaway addresses, scripts, purchased votes or other tricks do not count, and the Sponsor may disqualify an entry that benefits from them. Voting helps decide the finalists: the entries with the most valid votes when voting closes on February 28, 2027 at 11:59 pm Eastern Time, up to ten of them, become finalists.
7. Judging
The judges are Anthony Limpert of Wedwalk and wedding photographer Vitor Lindo. They score each finalist on these criteria.
- Story, 30 percent
- Photos and video, 30 percent
- Vendor credits, 20 percent
- Overall wedding, 20 percent
A judge does not score an entry he photographed or worked on; the other judge scores it alone. Ties go to the higher Story score. The judges' decision is final.
8. Prize
One prize of $500 in US dollars, paid by Supercanic LLC by check or electronic payment. One winner per contest year. Total prize value is $500. The prize cannot be transferred. The winner is responsible for any taxes and may be asked for tax information before payment.
9. Winner Announced
The winner is chosen and announced in March 2027. We contact the winner by the email or phone number on the entry. The winner must answer within 14 days and confirm eligibility. If we cannot reach the winner, or the winner is not eligible, the judges choose the next finalist by score.
10. Publicity
Unless the law says otherwise, the winner agrees that the Sponsor may use the winner's names, city, wedding photos, video and story to announce the result, with photographer credit, without further payment.
11. General
The Sponsor is not responsible for entries or files that are lost, late, incomplete or damaged in upload. The Sponsor may cancel or change the contest if it cannot run as planned, and will pick the winner from eligible entries received before then. By entering, you agree to these rules and to the judges' decisions. Personal details are used only to run the contest and are never sold. Future contest years use these rules with new dates posted on this page.
